Land Repair Australia
Land Repair Australia (LRA) was formed in 2004 to acquire and rehabilitate degraded agricultural land. LRA is a new approach to investment in Australia’s agricultural natural resource base.
The company was formed as a result of a Feasibility Study for creating a new investment vehicle that would facilitate private sector investment into land rehabilitation. The Study was funded jointly by LRA shareholders and the South Australian Government utilising Commonwealth National Action Plan (II) funds.
The company has initiated three projects, which are described under Projects, and is awaiting the establishment of an effective market for carbon for vegetation and soils before initiating further projects.
